Overview
Wynand Capital is a venture capital firm with additional interests in private equity and public markets. Its investment activity spans holdings with different ownership structures, reporting requirements and transaction processes.
Wynand designed and developed a backend platform to support the management of those investments. The project brought portfolio information, transaction records and associated legal documentation into a connected environment for investment oversight and administration.
A platform spanning private and public investments
The platform was designed around Wynand Capital’s investment activity across private holdings and publicly traded assets. Its architecture accommodates the different information associated with these positions while providing a consistent basis for reviewing the portfolio.
Our work connected investment tracking with the records supporting individual holdings and transactions. This structure allows portfolio-level oversight to sit alongside the detail required to manage each investment over time.
Connecting financial and legal information
A central element of the project was the relationship between investment records and their supporting legal documentation. Financial information needed to remain connected with the agreements, ownership records and other documents associated with each position.
Wynand incorporated those relationships into the platform’s structure, enabling investment information and supporting documentation to be maintained within a connected administrative environment.
The resulting system provides a shared point of reference across the financial and documentary aspects of Wynand Capital’s portfolio.
Supporting transaction management
The platform also supports the administration and tracking of investment transactions. Transaction activity is connected with relevant holdings and financial records, preserving the relationship between individual decisions and the portfolio they affect.
This functionality was developed within the wider investment management environment, allowing transaction records to remain connected with ongoing portfolio oversight.
Delivery and further development
Wynand delivered a backend system supporting Wynand Capital’s investment tracking, transaction administration and associated documentation. The project established a common structure across information previously considered through separate financial, portfolio and legal requirements.
The platform provides a basis for further development as Wynand Capital’s investment activity and reporting needs evolve.
